I have a 97 E39 and a 94 E36 and live in Ohio. I previously drove Honda Accords. I have all season tires on each (not snow tires). I think the capabilities of front wheel drive over rear wheel drive in the snow is vastly overrated. I own a business and have to get to work whether anyone else does or not and I have had no problems with either car in the snow. They are at least the equal of the Honda in the snow and maybe even better.
