I did not get the lumbar support option. However from the exploded parts view it looks like the lumbar support option is simply a bladder that is added to provide more support. You will know when you get it. They can't really remove much foam, beacause there is not much to begin with. The support is all in the spring network.

Either way, don't worry. Retracting the spring was a great fix. I am now quite satisfied. I would not call the seat the most comfortable that I have ever experienced, but it no longer distracts me from enjoying the car.

: I'm assuming you didn't get the lumbar support option? I noticed the same problem on test drives and decided to order the lumbar support in hopes I could adjust to my liking (picking up 528 Sport in Munich late April).

: Also, have you had any success with the chrome trim? The sport suspension was a must but really could do without the blacked-out look!
