: Remember a while back there was discussion on 528 vs. 540 and about passing ability. Here is what I saw with my own eyes on yesterday.

: I was driving down to LI on GCP, it was between the Manhasset exit and Jones Beach exit. Traffic is not heavy not light, people doing ~60mph in all 3 lanes, just another Saturday afternoon on GCP.

: I was just crusing in the left lane, I noticed a Sliver 5er approaching the car next to me in the middle lane, when he moved up a bit, I saw the 528 on the back and it appears to be all stock. The driver must have been in such a rush, he was like 2 ft. from the tail of the car in front of him, which is a Mazda Millenia S. The 528 then switched to the right lane and was 2ft. away from the car in front. For the next minute, he was switch ing between the middle and right lane, stayed on people's tails. The intention is obvious that he wanted to break loose the traffic pack, but his action was also obvious enought to piss off the driver in the Millenia S.
: Finally there was this open stretch on the right lane, the 528 changed lane and took off, the Millenia S obviously floored also and they stayed side by side, until the 528 came to 5 ft. away from a car in the front, then I heard hard brake, the 528 switched back to behind the Millenia in the middle lane. Another oppotunity came up, he again took the right lane and floored it, so did the Millenia, same story, they were head to head until they got so close to the cars in the front, the 528 had to get back in the middle lane again. It was like this for several more times, untik 3 miles later, the 528 got off to Jones Beach and the Millenia kept on GCP, the 528 almost crashed like 3 times and never cut the Millenia off.

: Now, the moral of story:
: 1) Don't drive like a dick :)
: 2) If you really have to, make sure you got that kinda HP under your right foot :)

: Chris
: 540 and etc.

Unless your a teenager I don t get your point...could of been a yellow V8 mustang instead of the millenia and even you would have looked stupid...there s a lot more to a BMW ...even a 528
