I'm pretty happy with my '98 528i with sport package. 528 is not for racing, but its acceleration is "good enough". Heck, it's better than most cars on the freeway that you want to pass anyways. =) Having driven '91 MR2 for 9 years, I'm very impressed with the handling characteristics of 528. If you like driving, be sure to get one with sport package.
