Call Pacific BMW, 1-800-909-part, ask for internet pricing, and buy your 6disk CD changer from them w/ the mounting brackets ( should be $410 total including shipping/handling). If ur car has Nav, it has been written on this board that CD changer brackets are integral to the NAV system and therefore does not require this purchase.
The BMW CD CHANGER requires no cutting nor splicing to the existing wiring harness or panels in the trunk; U simply screw down the bracket (if req'd), prep the CD changer by flipping a switch for upright mounting and removing a few screws set in place at the factory, plug two connectors into the back of the CD CHANGER, mount the CD CHANGER w/ 4 screws and you're set.
WHen U turn on the radio, the unit will recognize the CD Changer automatically and will reward you with the "CD" word on the radio panel. Push that button and begin enjoying. DOn't forget to put CD's in the cartridge.
Took me all of 15 minutes to do mine.
U can get two more CD cartridges at Best Buys (Alpine Brand) for $30. Don't go to the dealer for this - gouge city. I have three cartridges stored in my car. One for me, one for wife, one for the kids.
: Cosmos Black
: Black interior
: prem radio, htd seats, optional M sport wheels
: Dealer tells me car is being built this week, should get it by mid April...does this sound legit? Is there a way for me to track the progress of it being built, shipped etc?
: My first BMW...the count begins. Also, can I get a cd player that will work with the steering wheel and is it easier to do a trunk or glovebox install myself or should I just have the dealer do it.
: Thanks in advance...
