That's a good way to look at it.. "my car only ages once every 4 years!" I will keep that one in mind when I go to trade it in someday.
I've got about the same amount of miles as you... so far, I'm getting about 21 mpg on my first tank with fairly tame driving with the stick shift.
You're right, the stock stereo isn't THAT bad, it just depends on what you're used to. And to the folks who worry I'm not enjoying the sound of my engine, don't concern yourselves! I'm definitely cruising around town with only the music of the engine... until I hit the freeway, then I need my tunes!
As for any "mods", I was going to spring the $1200 (includes install) to put in the black suede alcantara headliner from the M5... but I would also have to replace sunvisors, grab handles and other pieces and it's just too much risk of getting a squeak or having an installer screw something up I think. So... I'll live with the grey for now... and save that money for an amp and speakers maybe.
