Cure for bumper rash (archive)

My rear bumper below the rubber strip has become nicked up with unsightly dings from normal parking lot wear and tear. The paint has been chipped so you can't rub it out and touch-up paint still looks bad. Finally, I found a solution that works - J.C. Whitney part number 15ZX8929N, 2 3/4" moulding. After trying several alternatives, this one fits perfectly, it's exactly the dimension of the flat surface below the rub strip. It also fits on the front as well.
