AFAIK they're all compatible. I just put my CPT-6000 kit in my new M5 (it came from a '99 540) and aside from a minor bug with the onscreen dialing it works perfectly, in fact I LOVE the way it integrates with the NAV system... you get your entire phone directory on screen! Just put names in with your numbers.
