The GAL is the setting for the speed sensitive volume. 1 is min - 6 is max.
The TP is the volume of a traffic report that might override the normal station.
The area is your loccation.
The AF is auto frequency control - I think it controls the up and down arrows on the steering wheel - turns them on or off, - or something like that.
: Can anyone define the various settings that are accessed when you hold down the [M] button... Here's what's in mine:
: SV39-98 41
: GAL 1-6
: DSP 1.6
: TP-V -9 through +9
: AREA ECE US CAN
: AF OFF/MAN
: Specifically, the TP-V and the AF OFF/MAN is of interest.
