: I thought this might work better, thanks for confirming. jvr:love the idea of disconnecting the distracting rear tweeters,

Yes, this is what you should do IMHO

: Brad: are you running only the 335's upfront along with the reconfigured stock units in the rear, without any sub?

Not quite. I have a macintosh amp driving 2 10" subs free air for the time being. This is all coming out for teh a/d/s/ 310rs 10" woofers in a sson to be available specif e39 fitment. This will be offered through EvoSport and our partner (must be quiet on this for now) for SoCal installation or mail-order. It will be a sealed box for the 2 tens with an amp rack mounted into the sub box. Very little loss of space (approx loss of 8 inches depth).

If so, how does the low end sound? Do the 335's have enough depth/low frequency response to fill the bill? I don't need heavy (booming) low end, but I like tight bass.

They would not. They NEED to be crossed over to take the low bass tones out. However, you can get a good installer to more or less conceal two 8"s in the trunck in a variety of locations, both sealed and free-air, or a single 10!
