Nav a benefit for phone? (archive)

I've been reading some posts about StarTac and NAV vs. no-Nav. I'm consdering getting 540i but can't decide whether to get Nav or not (due to old/slow CDROM technology vs. DVD, probable inability to upgrade in future, inferior user I/F, etc.). I might go for it if there were added benefits integrating with phone.
