At least I had to. I would assume since sales tax is state based, it all depends on the state. Seeing as IL is one of the few states that charges you sales tax on the FULL purchase price of the car for a lease (including that darn Gas Guz tax), AND THEN CHARGES YOU SALES TAX AGAIN IF YOU BUY YOUR CAR AFTER THE LEASE IS UP.... AND seeing as most 540s here go for MSRP (including mine), I think I'm living in the wrong state based on other posts on this board.

Course, I could be living in Calif (were I used to) where they are lucky to pay MSRP.
