: Well, after debating whether to get a 540 Touring or the sedan, I finally placed an order for the 540 sedan (alpine white/sand) via Euro delivery today. Since I need to start planning my European itinerary soon, do any of you have some suggestions for hotels in Munich, Frankfurt, Vienna, Saltzburg, and Innsbruck ($150-$200/night)? The waiting begins....

I've been all through this area many times and my suggestion would be to get the excellent Michelin Red Book Europe which details hotels in all of the cities you've mentioned. They're not like a typical guidebook in that they present nothing but the facts in heavy symoblized form. But any 3-star hotel or above will not disappoint.
Michelin does annual inspections and accepts no advertising so they tend to be very objective.

Pick up the 1/300k series of Michelin Maps for Germany and Austria as well as the Michelin Green Books for descriptions of the tourist sites.

I'm not a Michelin shill, I've just found through experience the way in which they've integrated all three of these entities is first rate. You can look at the map and instantly see if there are hotels or tourist sites in any little burg that you happen across. Happy motoring!!

Regards,
Rich
