OnStar system for BMW . . . possible? (archive)

I suppose most of you have heard of the onstar system offered by GM. I would love to have one of these to compliment my GPS nav system - the convienence, emergency and concierge features soung great.

Has anyone heard of BMW planning a service/system like this? I really want it, I just don't want the crappy GM car that comes with it. =)
