It happend to me too for few times. There are little stone caught between rotor and splash protection. Be careful and do not drive any longer once your hear that noise. I had to change rear rotors - severe scratches on them. Once you stop the car and wait a minute or two the stone goes away since the heated rotors shrink by cooling (I guess).
