: This is a very simple thing to fix.
: There are two options, if one doesn't work, try the other.

: 1) Go to your local Autoparts store and buy RUBBING COMPOUND, just ask them for it, its like a pasty substance which you will buff on your bumper with a rag and just put some elbow in it and it will eventually remove the paint on your bumper

: 2) Take Paint Thinner, place some on a clear rag and buff the paint out, the Paint Thinner will take the rough paint off and not your paint, just be sure to use soap and water immediately after you remove the paint because you don't want the Paint Thinner staying on your bumper.

: : I have been crying all day (figurely) because of what happened last night.

: : I was backing out slowly in a crowded parking garage (they had cars parked in the access lanes). I stopped momentarily because I saw another car waiting to get by. The pressure of another car waiting and the fact I am not yet proficient with the manual transmission of the BMW, I backed up some more for extra leeway to manuever, but I didn't look. As I slowly backed up I hear a sound similar to running over a styrofoam cup. I looked in my side view mirror and I see I have hit the black bumper of an old BMW. There's black stuff (probably from the old BMW) on my rear bumper just below the strip trim moulding. How can I get that stuff off? Do you think there's any internal damage?
