: I have seen some interesting postings concerning the handling of a 540i/6 in snow. Are snow tires absolutely required and if so on all tires or only on the rear?

: p.s. I live in New Jersey.

I use four snows in the winter and the car handles great. the rear snows give me the ability to get up a hill and the fronts give me the ability to turn when needed. it's a good insurance policy and pays for them self in no time. and with having eight tires and wheels in the picture tire wear is increased. hopes this helps.
