Absent a handset at a reasonable price, I'd consider the Motorola Startac which can be adapted to the car at lower cost (compared to $1000 for a handset).

: I just bought a '97 528i. Great car, but it is missing the handset for the mobile telephone. The local dealer says I have to buy the entire phone system to get a new handset ($900 - 1,000). Any suggestions where I can find a replacement. Thanks for the help.
