I took mine to the BMW Clubs winter ICE driving class which is heald on a frozen lake this year. I had my 17in BFG's that were sipped and it did great. For those that do not know what "sipping" is they cut the tread a bit to make it more flexable and grip better.

So my 540i/6sp does great in the snow (when I am caught out in it) here in Denver
