Someone wanted this earlier, thought I'd better start a new thread on it:

The 235/45-17 and 255/40-17 are approximately equal in diameter (what matters is the loaded radius, and the 255/40-17 is about .10 inch shorter on both BFG and Dunlop spec sheets.)

Assuming 825 revs/mile (approx) it works out to:

tire revs/mile * top gear ratio * final drive ratio
= engine RPM @ 60mph

Or, for the automatic:
825 * .80 * 2.82 = 1860rpm @ 60mph, 2480rpm @ 80mph
825 * .80 * 3.15 = 2080rpm @ 60mph, 2775rpm @ 80mph
