I think the only real way to tell if your car is fast is to take it to the 1/4mile track, and I will guarantee that you will see 14 sec time slips every time. I doubt your car will run faster than Motor Trends' seriously fast 540i 6spd in March 1998 - 14.0 @ 101.7 The software upgrade will do little for outright acceleration, it will only improve in gear acceleration, that has been proven with the MST Weismann software upgrades for 540is that has been around a lot longer than Dinan's software. And 993 C2s will still be faster with low 13 sec time slips and 104mph trap speeds. The 996 C2 numbers are also in the low 13 secs and around 105mph for trap speeds. There's no doubt that the 540i 6spd is an awesome car and your car sounds pretty quick but a Porsche, even an older one will show you its taillights in a hurry on the track.
