if a mechanic told you the rear window has to be removed, you have the wrong mechanic. i just installed ebach springs and koni sport shocks. the rear seat, rear seatbelts, rear parcel shelf and rear shelf speakers require removal in order to get access to the top of the rear shock towers. I WOULD NOT REPLACE THE SPRINGS WITHOUT ALSO REPLACING THE SHOCKS/STRUTS. you will have to remove the springs later if you wish later to change the shocks/struts. cheaper to do all work at one time.

: : I live in Portland, OR . . does anyone recommend a shop to install my eibach springs? I hear that it is quite a job (removal of the rear window, etc..) Also, how wide of tires can you have on the rear withour rolling the fenders and how much work is it to get the fenders rolled (can it be done without additional paint work?) Thanks

: I live in Salem Oregon - Have had most of my work done at Rasmussen BMW. I have been very happy with service there. Contact "Albert" in the service department(226-0380) - he deals and will provide for you a loaner car! Rasmussen's is a Dinan and AC Schnitzer dealer - I know you will find something there to quench your thirst. I do not believe that the rear window has to come out-just the rear seat and package shelf! Good luck!
