Hey Galo,

Does this mean that you were in Oregon at one of the Intel plants and you didn't even give me a call. Good to hear that you and Lew met, sounds like it was a lot of fun.

Now for the not so good news part - I have to admit that I scratch my '00 528i. Took my wife out for our 25th on Saturday, parked in one of those parking garages. They had a hand rail - painted black and just low enough that you could not see it over the trunk and I got it. Not too bad though, it will cost me 630 to get it fixed. Just the bumper cover.

Arland...
: After a hectic Monday-Thursday of mtgs, etc etc etc ad nauseum...drove up to Seattle ferrying three bottles of Barrilito Tres Estrellas Thursday night....yeah, you can say there was some level of trepidation on both sides at meeting FTF but...no surprises on either side! And yes we cracked open a bottle to celebrate!
: Friday it was running Lew's drop-dead-gorgeous antique wood boat (1938 Monk) down from Seattle to Olympia....cracked another bottle of Barrilito but, since the Boat Show was Saturday, we (well, at least I) behaved.

: Saturday was the official day for the boat show..Lew inside and I running interference outside. "interference' as in 'answering as many questions as I could outside so that, as best posible I reduced the quantity of folks wanting to get inside' and..it worked. The only ones WE invited aboard were the good-looking females but sadly, there were too few of those.

: By the way, I can now recite (mantra-like) the five most frequently-asked questions: 1. How many coats of varnish? answer: No clue -lost track after the first half-dozen. 2. Where is she kept? I know the answer, but wont say it here! 3. What varnish do you use? answer: Epiphanes. 4. What engines? answer: Nordburg Tarpons, 336 cu.in, 130 hp flathead sixes. 5. How many people does she sleep? answer: highly dependent on how close the people wanna be.

: After another bottle of Barrilito between three of us the answers started changing a bit like....to the 'what varnish is this?' question the answers were something like..'dunno, he gets it at Home Depot or some other el cheapo place'

: I had a ball and I'll do it again in a minute but...the next time it's Lew's (and his family's turn) to come to PR.

: Got home today after a loooong red-eye, my lovely wife & daughter were waiting for me..had a nice lunch, washed the 540..I am content and life is good. Bless u Lew & Lindy!
: :o)
