Considering that tuners have obtained nearly this level of power from the 1.8L four-cylinder A4 motors without disintegrating them, I wouldn't sweat reliability issues. Besides, with that much power underfoot, I really wouldn't get too many opportunities for full throttle; the new 911 turbo will hit 0-60 in under four seconds with 450 hp...there aren't enough roads in this area for that kind of sprint...
