1) He and his S4 have an inferiority complex so
he must come here to prove his S4 is better than a
540i. Understandable as the 528/540 is the standard as "the ultimate driving machine"
2) Quicksilver actually wants to own a 540 but for his own reasons, he decided that an S4 was more prudent. To justify/feel better about his
decision, Quicksilver thinks that if he can go faster than the old ladies in those 2 540s he mentioned, he had mad the correct choice.
3) He envys us so that is why he is on this board.
Although Quicksilver does not drive a 528/540, by being on this board, at least he experience the 528/540 driving/ownership experiece in spirit.
As E39 owners, we should understand his frustration and unhappiness with his S4. Obviously our opinions mean a great deal to his sense of self-worth and well-being - we should be charitable and simply say: "Quicksilver, you made the right choice; your car is faster; etc." Make
Quicksilver feel better - then perhaps Quicksilver will not return.
