Having the vast majority of a market in a required item (electricity, water, cable, operating systems, gasoline, etc.) is a monopoly.
Ditto of the above except for a non-required item (lime soda, chocolate chip cookies, pink toilet seats, zymol) is most certainly not.
Give me a break!!

: - another tricker form of price fixing - monopoly powerIf you pay $45 for something, which on the free market, where every store could compete, where there was a competitor, something this company is trying to STOP, then you could get this for $32 or even $6 or $1, its totally up to the person selling it. BUT NOW, when there is only the 1 MONOPOLIZING COMPANY, there is no competition and the price will stay at $45
