..and, as I said, you're wrong. But believe whatever you want; you're obviously not the type to let facts get in the way of your opinions.

: : I find it amusing that people who in all likelihood have never driven a car are so willing to spout so much nonsense about it. FYI, before I got the S4, I began looking at BMWs, namely the 328ci. Drove it, was underimpressed, drove the S4, bought it. Also drove a '99 M3; rode too rough, cheap interior, but a very fast, very fun car. I just liked the S4 better.

: : You see: it is possible to admit that there are other good cars out there without slamming others' cars! Tact! What a concept!

: : As to what I can or can't afford, you haven't a clue. You don't know what I do for a living, how much I earn, nothing, and yet you have the arrogance to assume that because I bought a "cheap" $42K S4, I can't afford the 540i?? Guess again, and dream on. The 540 is too big and a bit too heavy for my tastes. An excellent car (there, I did it again!), but I like the S4 better, because it's smaller, more nimble, and just more fun.

: : A few of you guys really need to grow up and admit that there are other great cars (oh, no! a _third_ time!) out there besides BMWs, and stop acting like little snot-nosed kids.
