I assume you ran into a similar situation I had where a dealer did not have a sport package model for you to test drive.......... Personally I would not have bought the 528 without the sport pack. both from a performance standpoint and frankly from an esthetic one too: With the sport you get a very cool steering wheel, no cheesy chrome and the best looking wheels BMW makes (just ignore all the posts from people that don't have them.... or are stuck with those butt ugly 540 wheels :P )
