It happened to me a couple of times before. But I couldn't reproduce it. I find it more likely to happen with the seek-up button on the steering wheel than the button on the console.

: Gremlins in my my '97 528i made my radio run amuck!
: I hit the seek -up switch and the radio locked up, continuously running through the stations. None of the other audio functions were accessable. After shutting off and restarting car the problem resolved itself.
