I think that the statistics answer your question. Professional thiefs can bypass most alarm systems, but LoJack is more difficult. The fact that 96% of LoJack equipped vehicles are recovered, and 70% of these within 8 months bears this out.

Plus, many folks save $100 or more per year on their insurance. Do the math. It doesn't take long to fully recover the $395 cost of the unit.
