This has happened on my 1997 528ia too. I'm can't remember which button(s) I pressed that made the radio act that way though.

: I hit the seek -up switch and the radio locked up, continuously running through the stations. None of the other audio functions were accessable. After shutting off and restarting car the problem resolved itself.
: Has anyone else had similar problems?
