You can probably find a hundred posts on this in the archives. BMW went through three or four door seal designs on the '97s before they found a design that didn't squeak. If you're still under warranty they should take care of it gratis. If you're out of warranty and don't want to buy the new seals, different people have had success with various remedies. In my case, if I am carefull not to get wax or armorall on the seal area they don't squeak. Other people have had just the opposite experience so experiment.
