Hella Optilux vs Jimmy's "Xenons" (archive)

I had to see for myself. After popping $120 for a set of Jimmy's H-7 Xenons I ordered a set of 100W Hella Optilux "HB3" (9005) high beam bulbs from Susquehana Motorsports at $28/pr. The Optilux is promoted as "Xenon-like" in color. No way; they look just like the stock bulbs and no comparison to Jimmy's Xenons, side by side. Jimmy may have his detractors, but his Xenons are what they are promoted to be.
