: METHDECAL 528i

(LONG) Do you have sport or non-sport? If non, are you lowering? If std 528, consider the 528's Type 5 Sport BBS 2 pc cross-spoke bolted wheels/a pain to clean but still the most expensive/most "BMW" looking wheels around IMO...I know not very adventurous since there are a lot of 28's around with this look. 17x8 all-around, or 17x8 frts/ 17x9 rears, OR 18x8s all around (or 8.5s ok/ different brand) or 18x8 frts, 18x9 rears. Tires: IF sports/ lowered, go with factory sports set ups. IF NOT lowered, 245-45-17s all around on 8s, OR 225-50-17 frt/8, 245-45-17 rear/9 (Michelin MXX3 or XGTZ4s only Zs avail in this last combo), OR if 18s, 245-40-18s/8s or 8.5s all around, or 245-40-18/8 frt, 275-40-35-17 rear/9 (9.5s on different from Type 5 wheel). On 528, I think anythng over 255s on rear (in either 17 or 18) is overkill/power doesn't warrant. On 18s, I'd run 245s all around on one of the wheels another poster already mentioned. 8s all around on 18s (or 17s for that matter) with 245s may not sound like a very wide wheel, but the not-so-wide rim takes some of the sting out of the super-short sidewall, being a nice compromise of ride and handling. AND just think, M5 runs 8s in front with 245s (when they could have run 8.5s)...so that's not a bad endorsement! If on a "budget" and concerned at all about ride or replacement tires and wheels' $, stick with 17s. Yes, many have reported even some 18 set-ups giving a decent ride, but 17's more of a no brainer if that's a focus of your search. Good luck.
