Temperature display and sensor (archive)

The temperature reading on my dash is sometimes off by +5 degrees Celsius. Is there a way to reset it to get a new reading? If not how do I change the temperature sensor and where do I find it?

Is my understanding correct that the temp sensor for the dash display is defferent from the engine, aircon and computer box temperature sensors?
