Every one is entitled to his personal opinion. I personally find Glacier Green to be an excellent choice for the following reasons:
1) It is a light colored car, and hence stays cooler by reflecting light and heat ( as opposed to dark colors)
2) It hardly shows common dust and dirt. Unless you get into splatters of dark mud, everyday dust and dirt barely show up at all excepting by dulling the reflection that you would get from a clean and shiny surface
3) I understand, that from a safety point of view, light colors are more visible, particularly at night
4) Glacier Green is not a common color - there are quite a few silver, black and dark blue E39 vehicles out there, but not very many Glacier Green.
Personally, I would avoid a black interior, it would be too hot after sitting in the sun to sit on with shorts in the summer. On the other hand, the sand that I ordered is/will be harder to keep looking clean - which I knew when I specified it, but gray didn't appeal to me, and I already said why I didn't order black.
So - each to his own, but Glacier Green works just fine for me, and JFrench too!
