: Anybody know anything about these wheels? Why are they so inexpensive?

1)Metallurgy--lesser quality raw materials =heavier, weaker, and less round wheels. 2) Liability--most of these small or knock off companies are ill-insured, if at all. May not mean anything to you, but as a lawyer....3) Finish-They may look pretty good. But that's generally why they are machined in some places and painted in others, to hide fininsh flaws. 4) Technical--they don't have to spend any time in design (which costs big $$), they can just copy the aesthetics and the specifications, save$$. Frequently, they are drilled in multiple places to allow lots of fitments. 5) Independents (like discount tire) can take less profit than a manufacturer --nothing wrong with that. All that being said, you have to take each wheel on its own merit. Some copies work fine, some stink. Most important here---is it E39 specific fitment? Here's a warning "all 5,7 BMW". Nope, e39 center bore is not the same. They could have a large center bore and provide you with a ring for the e39. Again another way to save $$. Hope this helps, Sorry for the length, but you usually get what you pay for. allen
