The lines of the 5 series make it one of the most beautiful cars on the road, in person or in photographs. I bought this car in part because of its looks, from any angle, including profile shots. Regarding the competition, there is no comparison. I think that Audi's are generally ugly, and I can't stand the Mercedes grill. Having said this, there are many who like the looks of these other cars, so it's clearly a matter of personal taste.

The BMW is a head-turner, wherever you go.

: Anyone else agree that the E39 is not that photogenic (esp the side view)? I truly think that these are one of the most beautiful sedans out there, but pictures really dont do them justice. Everything from the front facia to the dished rims just look much better in person. Just wanted to hear some opinions.
