These aren't the most popular stories for a lot of reasons, but I just had to share:

You know those mid-eighties Chevy 454 trucks? They're pretty fast, and their owners know it. Me and my bone stock 540ia just whacked one. He was complete with rebel flags, limo tint windows, a really, really loud headers / exhaust. It was kinda funny:

Him catching third as his exhaust wailed and birds flew out of trees, me and my smiling bride sitting comfortably in the A/C. The best was my wife's innocent question as we calmly changed lanes in front of him:

"Why'd he want to race you?"

Just thought I'd give you guys an idea of where the 540 is in the food chain.

**Notice**
There are no details about *where* this race occurred or the speeds that were acheived. For all you know, this was on a closed racetrack to speeds of 75 miles per hour. After all, I had him by 55mph. Why embarrass him any more? ;)
