People tend to quote that 10k price difference, but the 540i comes standard with a lot of stuff that's optional on the 528i, so you are not paying just 10k for a bigger engine.

But yes, the 540i is worth the extra, whatever that is.


: I am looking at both the 1997 528 5 speed and the 540/6. the price gap is huge almost ten grand.
