Apparently the problem with the windows is common in cars with the ability to lower the windows via the key remote. I have the same situation on my 2000 528iT, but it has never happened on my 540i. The dealer says it is in the logic module, and may have to be replaced. I have asked them to see if this is a car/key memory thing that can be shut off. I also have problems coming back to the car with the same key I used previously and it resets the A/C and temp settings on its own.

Does anyone know if ALL the damn car/key memory functions can just be turned off in one fell swoop? I hate them!

: On several occasions I've found the driver or passenger side windows to not be in the fully up position. I'm sure I didn't lower them. Any ideas?
: Another issue is a clunk from the seat frame area when I go around a corner relatively quickly. It can happen on a right- or left-hand turn. After the first turn, it only happens again on a turn in the opposite directions. Any suggestions would be welcome.
: The car is a 2000 528i without the sport package.
