I installed the BMW Digital StarTac CPT7000 phone kit in my 1998 540iS. It works ok, and mutes to talk etc. But, I have to flip/close phone to work it and use phone's buttons only; it doesn't interface with the MID. The MID phone buttons don't respond, either on dash or steering wheel. It never did a "phonebook download". I tried the "FCN,0,9,5,STO... FCN,0,9,5,CLR,END" thing to no avail. I have MID, but not navigation system. There are "Digital-to-Analog" jumper wire/plugs that came the kit, but no instructions or obvious place to install them. Local BMW parts has no more info, and claims that national parts has no more info. Local BMW repair has never installed a CPT7000, so he's no help. Any ideas?

Also, it appears that the SES jumper that came with the kit is not applicable to the 1998 540iS?

Here is the biggy! I have two StarTac phones, a BMW phone and an AT&T phone. Both work the same in the E39!!!!!
