I was pondering the weight issue. I have driven a 528, very nice response and "sport" feel. I haven't had a chance to drive a 540 but considering the increase in weight and the recirculating ball steering, it seems the 528 would drive better. Which would you rather have, a low pressure twin turbo 528 or a stock 540? It seems like the 528 TT would cost about the same as a 540 (excluding Alpina TT), and with the lower weight and R and P steering the car would be more nimble, and maybe quicker.
