First off if you think that your 540 can beat any other car there you are dead wrong. And if you think that a TT is slow than you are wrong. Have you ever driven a TT? Alpina created the B10 a TT version of the last 535. It created 360 Hp and was easily chipped to 440. And it weighed 500 lbs less than the 540. Alpina gauged 0-100 KPH in 5.6 sec. and the car magazines said 5.2. This is roughly 0-60 MPH in 5 - 5.4 sec in 360HP form. Chipped it would be obviously quicker. Also I have seen an E46 328 with a 12 lb turbo that did 0-60 in the low 5's. BMWs are about handling not speed because any camaro ss out the can beat your 5.3 sec 540. Supercharge it and see ya, you are toast and hey he spent 30 grand less than you, HAHA. But, I don't care, because bmw is about the twisties, and with the added weight it should suffer from understeer when compared to the 528. I have seen many people in the m3 board post "What about an M5 engine in a M3", the majority said no way. The handling would be shot. And I have also heard many M5 owners being beat at autocrosses by E36 M3s because their car is not very nimble.

HAHA, supercharge. You gotta be kidding me. Whatever is good enough for Pontiac is good enough for me. Look at production cars using turbos; Porsche, Audi, Saab, Maseratti, VW, Rolls Royce, Lotus, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Nissan, Volvo and Ferrari and the list could go on. Who Uses Superchargers? Ford, Pontiac, Mercedes, Chevrolet, the list just sounds better and better. The last person to win a grand prix was in 1954 by an Alfa Romeo.

The only way the 540 is superior is in the price tag and the engine. Options are the same, but the engine is bigger. Some people may say you are the stupid one for spending 10K for the same car just bigger engine.

I find it rather hippocritical that you say that recirculating ball steering is irrelevant and it is all about the driver. You have what, 4 cars, couldn't you buy at least one manual. Or can't you shift that well. But, I guess if it is all about the driver, then that is why you got the Auto.

If you write off the 528 as a joke then you are a joke. As I have said the only difference is in 0-60 and the way the car steers. I have not driven the 540 but I have heard many people say the car feels too heavy. And as for the car magazines, every review I have read from Automobile, Car and Driver, and motor Trend, said the M5 suffers from understeer. But for the 528 being a joke, maybe it is a joke to someone who finds his own self confidence in the price of his car, But if that was the case you should have bought a Lamborghini, but maybe you couldn't afford it.

Yes, this is a long message I am just sick and tired of people like jimmy who are too full of themselves to open their eyes.
