: If it only happened a couple times, I seriously doubt that you harmed anything. However, I do not think it is safe to do every day. Some people do this often (as in once a month), and I don't think it affects much unless you are flooring your car, popping the clutch, or forcing it back in gear without taking your time...

: : : I don't know whether you had your car all the way in 1st or not, but this will happen to you if 1st gear is not fully engaged...

: : : Hope this helps

: : : : I posted this message before, but on the weekend got only one response, maybe everybody is back now.

: : : : I was at a traffic light and put my car in the 1st gear, when I started letting go off the clutch, my 1st gear slipped back to neuteral? After that I pressed the clutch again, and put it into first and drove and everything was fine. But this happened to me twice? I have a Short Shift on my car. Could it be that I did not put it in to the 1st all the way or is my clutch going? I just changed it 10,000 mi ago.
: : : : Thanks for your help.

: : : : HAPPY 4th of July!
