I don't mean to cross over on your "turf," but I think that it is time for me to give up on the large mass and appeal of my 1990 735i and take the plunge for a Y2K 528i with a sport/premium package. I am not in a rush, I just want something by the end of summer. I have found that 528i's of all kinds are being BLOWN out the doors to make room for - get this - a 525i AND a 530i. All six dealers within thirty miles of my home (CA) are repotedly getting shipments of 7-9 528i's EACH on July 7, 8, and 9th - and then that's it. Holy S#!t.! Is this a good time to snake a loaded 528i and run, or should I take a wait-and-see attitude and let the 525's and 530's roll in? In my opinion, a 525 is out, so do I need to wait two - ? months for a similar car that dealers won't be blowing out?
Never mind, I think I just answered my own questions. Anyway, what is a good "deal" for a 528i with sport/premium and lets say - DSP, moonroof, and a steptronic? I plan on taking the 36mo. lease.
Does anyone think that the Xenons are worth the dough? I have seen reports of problems on the 3 and 5 series models, are they correctable? Also, is there a website that is very useful for you 5-series owners? 7-series owners are very helpful with each other and get along very well (it's almost like a private club). Do you 5er owners ever hang out and do crazy weekend things too?
