Getting the 530 I want (cloth seats & a trunk)... (archive)

I'm about ready to order a 530i 5-speed. I want cloth seats. A friend was telling the order codes for cloth on the phone yesterday, but I think they were for the 3 series. Does anyone have the order codes for a 5?

One of my pet peeves is the decrease in trunk capacity in the E39. I'm usually carrying a bicycle, and it fits easily in my '95 525i. I tried it on the newer car, and it is a tight fit for my track bike; a road bike might leave grease on the panels. Are the side panels easily removable, even if there is a Nav unit and/or CD changer installed? I'm sure the trunk could actually be used to carry things if they were out of the way!
