Xenon Lights Question (archive)

I only have 2,200 miles on my 00' 540, however, while driving at night I am starting to notice that the "range of light" provided by my xenons appears to be very short. While driving at highway speeds in the country, I really feel like I have a limited range of view. Especially when making a sweeping left turn. I understand the reasoning behind the lower left light but I feel very uncomfortable with the viewing range that I am getting. My second car (Lexus GS, no xenons) gives me much better extended vision at night. With my xenons, I feel like I am outrunning my lights, and I am only talking about 65 mph. Has anyone else had any similar experiences? I know the lights are self leveling. Has anyone else had to get their beams adjusted? Thanks in advance for any help!

Regards
Kevin in St. Louis
