ED,
You are wrong, they DO have to give me something and there are FEDERAL warranty laws on the books that say so (Mason Grossman Warranty Act?). If I do not like what the Lemon Law unit has to say, it is my right to take the matter to NJ State Court of Appeals and the dealer will have to post a bond equal to the purchase price of my car plus $2500 until the matter is heard before a judge. By the way, The Lemon Law unit is not arbitration, it is an Administrative Law Judge.

: If you are smart, you will take the deal. Listen buddy, life is not perfect and is not trouble free. There are no real guarantees.

: So you spent $50K and got a lemon, big deal. There are people that spend $120K on a SL600 which also turn out to be lemons.

: Stuff happens.

: Keep in mind neither BMW nor the dealer have to give you anything. What they are offering you is out of their "good will." The Lemom Law is an arbitration panel, so they are not on your side to begin with.

: Get in touch with a lawyer and have him explain the facts. Settlement is a much better option than litigation 95% of the time.

: You may feel shafted and frustrated, but use your head and don't let the emotions rule.

: Unless you want to endup with the lemon BWM forever, that is.

: Good luck.
