Just returned from having a #12 steering module put in my 2/00 528i (replacing a #11). The keys now return the seat and wheel to prior position. It appears to work as advertised. Note that the steering column moves up, but never in, when the key is removed from the ignition. With the #11, the steering column moved up and in, but never returned to the prior position.
